چکیده

IntroductionNew treatments for acute ischaemic stroke, such as mechanical thrombectomy, can achieve reperfusion of large tissue. Some studies have suggested that therapies increase the risk suffering symptomatic seizure (ASS) and poststroke epilepsy (PSE). The aim study was to determine incidence ASS PSE in patients undergoing related factors.Patients methodsThis a retrospective single-centre including with stroke NIHSS> 8 treated thrombectomy follow-up ?5 years. We evaluated several epidemiological, radiological, clinical electroencephalographic variables.ResultsOf 344 included patients, 21 (6.1%) presented ASS, 53 (15.40%) died phase, 13 (4.46%) during first year. degree (p 0.029), advanced age 0.035), haemorrhagic transformation 0.038) increased being an independent factor, OR 2.02 (1.21-4.64).The 4.12% year, 3.72% second, 1.61% fifth. accumulated at 5 years 8.93%. Related factor < 0.001), yielding value 2.00 (1.28-3.145).ConclusionsThrombectomy doesn´t ASS. A higher percentage reperfusion, age, are associated is PSE.In terms mortality, having suffered and/or does not or long-term mortality.

Aerobic fitness after JDM--a long-term follow-up study.

OBJECTIVES It has previously been shown that patients with active JDM have decreased aerobic fitness; however, it is not known whether these patients regain their physical fitness after recovery. The objective of this study was to investigate the long-term outcome of aerobic fitness in patients with JDM. We hypothesized that fitness (VO(2max)) is reduced compared with healthy controls in the ye...
